| Data storage service is a popular cloud service. Data owner (DO) uploads confidential data to Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and allows it to share the data with the authorized data users (DUs). As we assume that CSP is semi trusted, so data users outsource encrypted data to the cloud in order to ensure data security and DO privacy. But, due to encryption the following scenario may occur. The same or different DO may upload duplicated data in encrypted form to CSP, as same plain text data encrypted with different keys of different Dos generates different cipher texts. Hence, data duplication wastes network resources, consumes a lot of energy, and complicates data management. Consequently, deduplication is essential for cloud data storage. How to manage encrypted data storage with deduplication in an efficient way is a practical issue. | Computer Science and Engineering | Dr. Somanath Tripathy |
| To Design and develop of smart dc micro-grid prototype using solar and wind energy research on smart sensor enabled computational Intelligence. | Electrical Engineering | Dr. Ranjan K. Behera |
| Study related to nonlinear flexible support. It involves derivation of Equation of motion, time period of oscillation, phase plane analysis and its study of motional behavior | Mechanical Engineering | Dr. Somnath Sarangi |
| This project would involve synthesis and characterization of carbon dots. The carbon dots would be conjugated to bio recognition elements (like DNA/Protein etc.) and used for visual detection of common food toxins in the nanoscale. The sensitive detection is of interest to food processing and packaging industry. | Chemistry | Dr. Prolay Das |
| i) Synthesis and characterization of novel heterocyclic ligands for coordination driven supramolecular frameworks: This project would involve synthesis and characterization of multitopic ligands with heterocycles as pendants. The heterocycles include but are not limited to pyridine, terpyridine, pyrazine, pyrimidine, triazole, tetrazole and pyrrole. These will be subsequently used as donor tectons for construction of supramolecular frameworks using coordination driven self-assembly reactions. ii) Synthesis of novel conducting PANI type and porous polymers: This project would involve synthesis and characterization of monomers with amine groups for use in polymerization reactions to yield PANI (PANI = polyaniline) type conducting polymers. Using knowledge of organic chemistry, we will also attempt functional group transformations in the monomers and use them to yield novel porous polymers. Both conducting polymers and porous polymers have tremendous industrial applications in present day. | Chemistry | Dr. Neeladri Das |
| Memristor- a potential fourth fundamental passive element after resistor, inductor, and capacitor having huge perspectives for low-power electronic applications ranging from memory to neuromorphic computing. In this project a students is encourage to develop mathematical models for memristor and designing of digital and analog circuits based on memristor. | Electrical Engineering | Dr. Jawar Singh |
| Junctions are essential ingredient of any semiconductor electronics devices, however, with CMOS technology scaling formation of these junctions in nano-regime is very expensive as well as they leads to unreliable operations of these devices. In this line, this project aims to provide students an opportunity to explore some emerging devices that are free from junctions as well as doping. | Electrical Engineering | Dr. Jawar Singh |
| IC counterfeit and hardware Trojan are major challenges for semiconductor industry in the recent past, therefore, in this project, we aim to design and embed some functions at the back-end of the ICs that are unclonable and provide hardware security. |
