Dr. Rishi Raj delivered a Keynote Lecture during the 25th National and 3rd International ISHMT-ASTFE Heat and Mass Transfer Conference(IHMTC) organized at IIT Roorkee between 28-31 December 2019. The title of the talk was "Boiling with foaming solutions for earth and microgravity applications".
Our project proposal titled "Development of an Ionic Liquid Based Ultra-High Heat Dissipation Module for Energy Efficient Boiling Systems" has been recommended for funding through the Core Research Grant Scheme of SERB.
Dr. Rishi Raj delivered an Invited Lecture during the Structured Training Programme (STP) on 'GenNext Spacecraft Systems & Technologies' organized at URSC, ISRO on 19 December 2019. The title of talk was "Passive Heat Spreader for Hotspot Mitigation."
Received the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Medal for Young Scientists for the year 2019 from Prof. Ajay K. Sood at the 85th Anniversary Meeting of the academy organised at CSIR NIO, Goa on 18 December 2019. The medal citation reads "For developing innovative techniques for significantly enhancing phase-change heat transfer in zero gravity environments." My students in the Thermal and Fluid Transport Laboratory (TFTL) deserve the true credit for this recognition.
Congratulations to DURGA PRASAD GHOSH for successfully defending the PhD thesis on October 17, 2019. Best wishes to him for all future endeavours. Dr. GHOSH is the second PhD from TFTL.
Our DST-RFBR joint project proposal with Dr. Dmitry Zaitsev from Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Novosibirsk, has been recomemnded for support.
