Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi joined the faculty of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. In 1999, he moved to Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur where he also held the positions of Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dean of Research & Development and Deputy Director. Dr. Hanumantha Rao received his PhD from The Queen’s university, Belfast, UK, M.S. from BITS, Pilani and B.Tech. from SV University, India. He has more than 34 years of experience in Research and Development in RF, microwaves and mm-wave technologies for strategic and civilian sectors. He has been working in SAMEER for the past 32 years after a brief stay at Space Applications Centre SAC (ISRO), Ahmedabad. As a scientist, in the initial part of his career and later as a senior member of the organisation, he has been actively involved in the implementation of various future driven next generation technologies for both strategic and societal applications for DRDO, MeitY and DoT. Prof. Emil Björnson received the M.S. degree in engineering mathematics from Lund University, Sweden, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in telecommunications from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he was a post-doc at the Alcatel-Lucent Chair on Flexible Radio, SUPELEC, France. From 2014 to 2021, he held different professor positions at Linköping University, Sweden. In 2020-2021, he was a part-time Visiting Full Professor at the KTH. From 2022, he is a tenured Full Professor of Wireless Communication at KTH. He has authored the textbooks Optimal Resource Allocation in Coordinated Multi-Cell Systems (2013), Massive MIMO Networks: Spectral, Energy, and Hardware Efficiency (2017), and Foundations of User-Centric Cell-Free Massive MIMO (2021). He is dedicated to reproducible research and has made a large amount of simulation code publicly available. He performs research on MIMO communications, radio resource allocation, machine learning for communications, and energy efficiency. Prof. Mahesh P. Abegaonkar (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in microwave sensors from the University of Pune, Pune, India, in 2002. From June 2002 to January 2005, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher and an Assistant Professor (Contract) with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea. In February 2005, he joined the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics (CARE), IIT Delhi, New Delhi, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He has authored or coauthored more than 145 publications in international journals and conferences and 30 publications in national conferences. His current research interests include periodic structures for antenna applications, millimeterwave antennas for 5G applications, MIMO antennas, and printed antennas (reconfigurable, broadband, high gain, and active).
