The third phase of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III), which is for improving the quality of Engineering Education in existing institutions by improving their policy, academic and management practices; has been launched by National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU). Indian Institute of Technology Patna has been selected to participate in TEQIP-III programme for providing mentorship to Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Institute of Technology, Chapra and Darbhanga College of Engineering, Darbhanga. A fund of Rs. 3.0 Crore has allocated to IIT Patna for mentoring these two institutions. IIT Patna has started working to enhance existing capacities of these institutions to make them more dynamic, demand driven, quality conscious, efficient, and responsive to rapid economic and technological developments, which are occurring both at national and international levels.
