About the Workshop
The goal of this 3-day in person workshop is two-fold:
a) To introduce BS/MS/PhD
students and early career researchers across disciplines, how predictive quantitative
modeling (Dynamical models, AI/ML approaches etc.) can impact
cancer diagnostic and/or therapeutic advances.
b) To nurture an
interdisciplinary community integrating computational modelers and clinicians
with the goal of improving patient outcomes in the clinic.
The workshop, in addition
to providing exposure to fundamental of computation oncology and advance
ongoing research, will also provide opportunity to interact, network and get benefitted from accomplished resource persons from
academia, industry and medical-practitioner.
Important
Note: The workshop
will also provide opportunity to selected candidates to showcase
their research as a poster. Further, the best research idea from participants may be recommended for financial support. For details visit

About the Department
The Department of Mathematics is committed to impart
high quality education in Mathematics at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.
The young and dynamic faculty members of the department have versatile experience
both in teaching and research in various areas of
Mathematics and Statistics. Currently the faculty members of the department are
actively engaged in various research areas pure and applied mathematics. The
department is currently running BS/BTech program in
Mathematics and Computing, MTech program, MSc
Program, and PhD program.
About
the Parma Hansa Center for Computational Oncology
The Param Hansa Centre for Computational Oncology (PHCCO) at IISc Bangalore
fosters research in predictive and quantitative mathematical models of cancer
progression, metastasis, and tumor relapse, to identify the underlying
fundamental dynamics of these multi-scale processes and to
eventually improve patient outcomes in the clinic. The Centre aims to
nurture an active community of future leaders in
computational oncology in India, through inter-institutional,
cross-disciplinary collaborations among researchers in academia, medicine, and
industry.

boarding and lodging will be provided to all
participants.
The organizers will provide the following: Accommodation on shared
basic in A/C guesthouse of the institute, food (April 18 Dinner-April 21
Lunch), workshop kit and certificate to all selected candidates. In addition,
those, presenting posters, will be given support to
display poster. However, these participants have to bear the cost of the poster
printing.
