The IR Cell at IIT Patna is responsible for the entire institute’s international activity.The IR affairs is committed to increase international collaboration through exchange visits, and opening up international conversations by encouraging universities stakeholders to set up joint programs, joint research and projects, faculty exchange and internships for international students.

- The IR Cell of IITP facilitates the admission to PG Programs and also provides internship in various disciplines.
- Developing strategic alliances and managing institutional partnerships and collaborations with foreign universities / academic / research organizations through appropriate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
- Joint degree programs where faculty & student collaborations are strong & sustainable.
- Promote and handle students and faculties mobility to and from foreign institutions, with which IITP has agreements of collaboration or without having collaboration.
- Building international profile for IIT Patna through visits, media coverage, events and conferences.
