Computational Research Laboratory
The department of Mathematics has a computational research lab to encourage research in areas which require high computing facilities.
Signal Processing for Wireless Communications Lab
This Laboratory is dedicated for experiment and simulation in the field of wireless communications. Research areas include blind receiver design for single carrier and multi carrier signals where all the parameters such as symbol rate, carrier frequency, symbol timing offset and frequency offset are estimated blindly, cooperative communications, cognitive radios, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), multiple input multiple output(MIMO). National Instruments (NI) chassis PXIe-1085 and LabView are available to the lab to design several types wireless communications systems.
List of Instruments, Softwares and Toolkits:
- NI PXIe-1085 18-Slot 3U PXI Express Chassis - Up to 12 GB/s
- NI-LabView 2013 software
- NI PXIe-5673 RF vector signal Generator
- NI PXIe-5663 RF vector signal Analyzer
- GPS,WLAN,GSM-EDGE, WiMAX AND LTE Toolkits
