Institute Scheme Scholarship

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (for UG Students including M.Sc) : - IIT Patna gives MCM scholarships to meritorious and needy students. An UG student or 2 year M.Sc program student can receive the MCM scholarship .

Rate of Scholarship :

For Gen & OBC students:- Rs. 1,000/- pm for two semesters (8 semesters in a year) and Free tuition fee.

For SC & ST students:- Free messing, exemption from hostel room rent, and Pocket allowance of Rs. 250/- pm.

Eligibility(Merit):
A) For Gen & OBC students:-

For new entrants (B.Tech/M.Sc 1st year): Their SPI will be the criterion for their merit. Minimum SPI is 6.50 and no "F" grade in any of the courses in first semester

For the students in 2nd year (B.Tech/M.Sc) onwards:- Minimum CPI is 6.50 and no "F" grade

B) For SC & ST students:-

For new entrants (B.Tech/M.Sc 1st year): Their SPI will be the criterion for their merit. No "F" grade in any of the courses in first semester.

For the students in 2nd year (B.Tech/M.Sc) onwards:- No "F" grade in any of the courses.

Eligibility(Means):

For all category students:- Annual income of a student's parents/guardian and his family from all sources in the preceding financial year must not exceed Rs. 4.50 lakh.
