Hello! I am a fifth year PhD student of department of computer science & engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna), one of the India’s finest institution. My supervisor is Dr. Asif Ekbal and I’m associated with AI-NLP-ML group of IIT Patna led by Prof. Pushpak Bhattacharyya. My area of research broadly covers many facets of sentiment analysis such as fine-grained aspect level sentiment analysis, multi-modal sentiment analysis, multi-lingual/cross-lingual sentiment analysis, social media, less-resourced languages etc. My research interest also includes emotion analysis and rumour detection. I have published research papers in Knowledge-based systems, ACM TALLIP, IEEE Intelligent Systems, IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine, NAACL, EMNLP, COLING, LREC, ICONIP, NLDB, CICLing etc.

Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing, ICON - 2017

Jointly conducted a day-long tutorial on the topic of ‘Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing’ at the '14th International Conference on Natural Language Processing (ICON - 2017)' held at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Other speakers were Mr. Rudra Murthy V (Research Scholar, IIT Bombay) and Mr. Kevin Patel (Research Scholar, IIT Bombay). Major topics covered during the tutorial were - Introdcution to Neural Network and Deep Learning, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) network, Attention mechanism, Word Embeddings and various natural language processing applicatoins e.g. Sentiment Analysis, Named-Entity Recognition etc. You can find the slides below.
