Indian Institute of Technology Patna

23rd September, 2009 will go down in the history of IIT Patna as a day which brought about relations between two institutes - Indian Institute of Technology Patna and the University of Houston, United States of America. The two institutes signed a Memorandum of Understandingduring a small function at IIT Patna. While Prof. Anil K. Bhowmick, Director, IIT Patna represented IIT Patna, Prof. Ramanan Krishnamoorti, Associate Dean of Research, University of Houston represented his University. The gathering was addressed by the Director who outlined the importance of such collaborations and also by Prof. R. Krishnamoorti who addressed the assembled audience about research activities. The MoU is intended to give opportunities to B. Tech and Ph.D. students and faculty from IIT Patna to go to USA and develop their research skills and interact with people working in different areas. This will also help in bringing faculty from USA to Patna so that knowledge of subject as well as latest technology can be made possible here. In addition, this will also help in collaboration research.
