Two new hostel buildings have been renovated and modernized for students of IIT Patna. The hostel buildings are situated in a walled compound adjacent to institute building (just 100 meters away). Each hostel has fifty rooms. Each room has two to three occupants. Each student has an individual cot, reading table, chair and wardrobe for each of its occupants. The rooms are well lit and are well ventilated. Very soon all rooms will be wired to the local area network for internet access. A mess with its dining room is functioning in the hostel. Breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner is being served at a reasonable rate (Rs. 1500/- to Rs. 2000/- per month).

 

Dr. Naveen Kumar Nishchal is the warden of the hostels. He is being assisted by Dr. Nalin Bharti (associate warden, boys' hostels) and Dr. Smriti Singh (associate warden, girls' hostels).
