IIT Patna has a state of the art computer center. The computer lab is equipped with 54 desktops and the lab operates from 9 AM till 8:30 PM on all seven days. In addition there are nine UNIX based servers that caters to the students' academic requirements. A local area network is catering to the needs of students as well as faculty members. The institute is having two 2 Mbps (1:1) Internet connection, one 4 Mbps (1:1) Internet connection and one 1 Gbps Internet connection. The whole institute has being wired and Internet facility has been provided to all members of the institute. Dr. Ashok Singh Sairam, Mr. Ashutosh Kumar Sinha, Mr. Rajender Kumar and Ms. Neha Vinayak are in-charge of computer center and related issue. |
