The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2008 and is offering B.Tech degree, with the objectives to provide high quality education and excellent research environment. Although the department is young, there is a conscious attempt to ensure that all the facilities required for an ideal research environment are available to its student and faculty members.
Digital library subscription for online access to journals such as IEEE, ACM, Springer, etc. is already available. The department is actively pursuing the procurement of research tools and high-end machines.
The department is going to start Ph.D programme in Computer Science & Engineering from July 2009. The major research areas are Network traffic management, Computer Security and Mobile Computing.
